Two thousand years ago, a man from Tarsus walked across Anatolia and changed the course of history. This journey follows in his footsteps.
St. Paul was born in Tarsus, on the southern coast of what is now Turkey. He traveled through Antioch, where the followers of Jesus were first called Christians. He preached in Iconium, in Lystra, in Ephesus, where he spent years building one of the earliest Christian communities in the world. The places he walked still exist. The churches, the ruins, the ancient streets. You can stand in them.
This private journey connects those places in a way that makes the history tangible. From the cave church of St. Pierre in Antakya, the oldest Christian place of worship ever discovered, to the ruins of Ephesus where Paul addressed thousands, to the early Christian communities of Cappadocia who sought refuge in the valleys and underground cities of central Anatolia.
This is not a tour for people who want to see Turkey from a distance. It is for those who want to understand it from the inside, through the story of one of the most remarkable journeys in human history.
Nine days, entirely private, with a knowledgeable guide, comfortable accommodations, and every detail arranged from arrival to departure.
